What is parent coaching?
A parent coach works with one family at a time to provide individualized
support, information, inspiration and practical ideas to ease and
enrich the job of child rearing.
Is parent coaching for me?
If any of the following are true for you and your family, the answer
is yes!
You have specific challenges with your child's behavior.
- Bedtime is driving us nuts! How do we get our little girl to
go to sleep - to stay?
- My son does not like school. Is there any way I can help?
- My kids do not listen to me!! What can I do?
- Our daughter whines when she wants attention - and it seems
she always wants attention. How can we get her to stop?
- Our children cannot remember anything - their homework, their
jackets, their lunches
you name it. Can we do anything to
change this?
You have concerns about your child's well being.
- My boy is extremely shy. Should I be worried?
- We are divorcing. How do we help our six year old through this
time?
- Is there a way to change the way a child feels about herself?
My little girl constantly is saying "I can't" and "It's
too hard" and "Nobody likes me."
- Our son seems unusually jealous of his new sister. Is this normal?
- After three months of day care, my daughter still cries every
day when I leave her. I hate the mornings!
You have practical questions about some of the many details
involved in raising children.
- How do I decide which school to pick?
- I dread my children's birthday parties. Is there an easier way
to celebrate the day?
- How much TV is OK?
- I feel guilty about buying most of the toys available in the
store. What playthings are best for my kids?
- I only see my son every other weekend. How do I make the most
of our time together?
